Dave’s journey began on a maple syrup farm in New Hampshire, a family business started by his grandfather. Drawn to the mountains of Colorado, he moved to Gunnison in the mid-90s to attend Western Colorado University. After college, Dave pursued his passion for skiing as a dedicated instructor for decades, earning both RMT and PSIA certifications. During the off-seasons, he immersed himself in construction, quickly mastering a wide array of skills. His expertise and craftsmanship led him to build three of his own homes from the ground up in the Roaring Fork and Gunnison Valleys.

Dave’s talent for homebuilding and attention to detail eventually led him to work for Gunnison County as a Building Inspector. However, he soon realized his true passion was in active construction—finding solutions and pushing projects forward rather than simply inspecting them. Armed with the knowledge he gained at the County, Dave transitioned to construction supervision, bringing his exceptional interpersonal skills, deep understanding of building and energy codes, and a hands-on approach. 

When he’s not on the job site, you’ll likely find Dave exploring the Rockies in his electric truck, skiing, biking, or spending quality time with his family.
